Produce Traceability Program
Produce Traceability program delivers a lot tracing
solution that is perfect for use by growers for the
tracking of produce of any type. The solution is great
for growers, distributors/traders, packers/re-packers,
foodservice as well as any other types of businesses who
distribute produce.
The image below shows the display for what functions
are available. Some functions the software is capable of
include adding crops being harvested and selecting pack
sizes for crops.
Unique details can be put on the barcode label to aid
in the tracing process. Special codes can be added to
identify who picked the crop, who packed the crop, what
farm the crop came from, and more. Below is an example of
a label created by this software.
Once all crops, pack sizes, and varieties have been
initialized, each crop can be linked to the correct
variety and pack size, allowing for it to be managed more
effectively. This setup makes receiving and labeling
crops simple.
Running a query on a specific crop status or location
becomes a quick process due to the powerful filters. This
system delivers the capability to track a particular
pallet of produce or crop.
Touch Screen Kiosk
Using a touch screen kiosk, the system allows you to
receive crops, label, and palletize
crops.
The display is easy to use as it shows all various
crops, pack sizes, and varieties. Handlers can choose
which crops should come in and only the selected pack
sizes and varieties will arrive from the chosen crop.
When the information is input, lot tracing labels are
printed for the incoming crop. This information makes
identifying produce and its location if it must be
recalled.
Wireless Hand Held Barcode Computer
The system makes the ship by skid process simple.
After logging on to the shipping application with a user
id and password, the user must simply select which skids
to load and the whole process can be done with just a few
clicks. Once the selection is made, the user scans the
skid barcode so that it is labelled as shipped in the
inventory database. Once the skid has been shipped, a
confirmation will appear on the handheld’s screen
and the user will be able to move on to the next
shipment. Using the desktop admin application, you can
view which pallets have been shipped as well as its
status and customer code.
