Produce Traceability Program is a lot tracing solution that is flexible enough to be used by growers to track any type of produce. For Growers, Packers/Re- packers, Distributors/Traders, Foodservice Operators/ Retail Stores, Wholesalers, Jobbers, Brokers, Growers, Shippers, Third Party (cold) Storage and any other companies in the business of distributing produce, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, plants.

The following screen-shot shows the functions that are available. There is the ability to add crops being harvested and pack sizes for those crops.

For each label the unique attributes are used in the barcode label for lot tracing. Incorporated in the label are all the special codes to identify exactly what crop, what farm, who picked the crop, who packed the crop, and more. The following is a sample label that is created by the software.

After all the crops, varieties, pack sizes have been setup each crop will have the correct variety and pack size associated with it. The initial setup allows for easy receiving and pallet labeling of crops when harvested.

The software with its powerful filters allows users to query on a specific crop, location, status to get instant information on available inventory and/or shipped inventory. These filters allow users to track a specific pallet of produce or crop.

Touch Screen Kiosk

The system includes the ability to receive crops, palletize and label using a touch screen kiosk.

Having all the crops, varieties and pack sizes setup makes this screen easy to use for crop handlers. Handlers will choose the incoming crop and only valid varieties and pack sizes will show up for the crop chosen. Once the handler has quickly put in the information for the incoming crop, lot tracing labels will be printed.

This information allows for easy identification and location of produce that may require a recall.

Wireless Hand Held Barcode Computer

The ability to ship by skid has never been simpler. A user logs onto the shipping application with id and password and will choose skids to load. Only two prompts are needed in order to ship out skids. Choosing the customer then scanning skid barcodes. At this point the user only has to scan the skid barcode and it will now be marked as shipped in the inventory. After a skid is shipped you will see a confirmation at the bottom of the screen and the handheld will be ready to scan the next skid. After shipping the above pallet if you go back to the desktop administration application and look at the inventory and filter by shipped pallets you will now see that the pallet just shipped has been updated with the customer code and a status of shipped.
