
W250 Rugged Wearable Computer
The ultra rugged, W250 wearable computer is designed to withstand the most severe conditions while giving the user totally hands-free mobility. The W250 case is made of fiberglass reinforced nylon and magnesium alloy. The high resolution display and touchscreen is protected by a special film and protects the unit against damage from water, dust, etc. The W250, designed to Mil-STD-810F, operates from -4º to +140º F, withstands massive shock and vibration and is sealed to IP67!
The W250 is a modular design giving users the ability to change the functions of the device without removing the wrist strap. Switching from a GPS receiver to a GPRS module is a simple and fast procedure. And, the battery is hot swappable allowing for uninterrupted use in the field.
Hand free operation is the key to Glacier wearable computers. The versatility, power, and accessories make the W250 ideal for first responders, military, forestry, and security personnel. The system integrates numerous innovative features including a dead reckoning system, biometric fingerprint reader and electronic compass.
