Outstanding Scanning Performance with Image Capture Capability
The SE 4200 Series of imager engines from Symbol Technologies reads all popular 1-D symbologies, provides functionality to support a growing number of 2-D applications and, in addition, provides the added capability of image capture. With the same form factor as the industry-leading SE 1200 Series, the SE 4200 features advanced performance and is available in both standard and high-density versions.
With the same volume and durability specifications as the SE 1200 Series, the SE 4200 provides a migration path for OEM products where the addition of imaging capabilities is required. The SE 4200 engine combines a progressive scan Video Graphics Array (VGA) resolution and Charged Coupling Device (CCD) sensor, illumination and bright 650 nm laser aiming.
The PL423 Decoder
The PL423 decoder maximizes engine decode performance and image transfer. The decoder uses state-of-the-art software algorithms for best-in-class decode ranges and speeds, as well as fast image transfer via standard SSI interface.
Easy to Program
With an eye to the future, the PL423 is as easy to program as it is to use. With flash programming capability, Symbol made it easy to update and reconfigure the engine in the field. This protects your technology investment and provides an easy upgrade path for new codes and features, such as emerging UCC/EAN Reduced Space Symbologies and Composite codes.
PDF417, DataMatrix, MaxiCode and Postal Code
The SE 4200 provides outstanding performance for your OEM devices whether you need to read DataMatrix for small item identification, MaxiCode for parcel sortation, postal codes for mail-handling applications, or PDF417 across a variety of applications.
The SE 4200 High Density version was designed to read DataMatrix codes as small as 0.005 in. (5 mil), while providing one of the most robust working ranges on other symbologies.
Image Capture
For image capture applications, the SE 4200 delivers clear VGA resolution images while providing total control over image attributes such as compression quality, transfer time, and file size. User-selectable imaging options allow the choice of industry-standard image file types.
