One Scanner Does It All! This new and innovative handheld CCD scanner will perform over the full range of today’s platforms, including IBM or MAC, desktops or portables, 386’s, 486’s or Pentiums. The Ranger also has IBM Certification for use on IBM SureOne™ terminals. Their low operating current makes them ideal for portable use. To make the unit function as an IBM wedge, you simply use our AT/XT or PS/2 style “Y” adapter cable, then program the scanner to an AT/XT or PS/2 computer type. To use the scanner as a MAC wedge, all you need is the MAC adapter cable, and program the scanner as a MAC computer type. To use the scanner in wand emulation, just attach the standard DB9F adapter cable. To use it with a laptop or notebook, use the laptop adapter cable to plug the Ranger into the computer’s external keyboard port. Easy To Program The Ranger is easily programmable to allow a selection of bar code formats, buzzer and scan operations, suffixes and many other functions. The scanner’s high resolution makes it ideal for reading bar codes even in direct sunlight or strong lighting conditions. Bottom Line The Ranger saves you money, from its initial low cost and through years of reliable operation.
