The PTC-960SL packages the most advanced laser scanning and wireless communications technologies into an ergonomically-designed, single-handed solution. This rugged, go-anywhere mobile computer has become the acknowledged tool-of-the-trade in a myriad of applications from the distribution center to the selling floor.
The PTC-960SL is driven by a Microsoft® MS-DOS® operating system and powered by a removable Li-Ion or NiCd battery pack. Productivity-enhancing features include a non-shift, full alphanumeric keyboard, a 16-line by 21-character graphic LCD with operator controlled contrast and backlight, and automatic "power-on" activated by the scanning trigger.
An integrated direct sequence or frequency hopping radio provides robust wireless networking and supports client/server or terminal emulation applications. A built-in RS-232 port enables direct connection to portable and fixed station devices. Accessories include a fast charger for up to four battery packs and a single bay charging and communications cradle.
