OPL7836 Laser Scanner

Opticon handheld laser scanners now available in North America! Opticon's new handheld laser scanner OPL 7836 is the first in a series of cabled laser scanners to be introduced to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The OPL 7836 is a new ergonomic handheld laser scanner designed specifically for retail. The 100 scans/second device is fast and snappy – perfect for POS cash-wraps and stock room environments where quick aims and fast scans are key to moving product or SKUs and getting things done.

To help productivity, the OPL 7836 can read low-contrast barcodes, or for example, colored barcodes, as well as high density (condensed) barcodes. On first-time scan, the snappy scanner reads saving employees time where seconds add up.

The pistol-style grip, designed specifically to reduce physical stress and user fatigue, is comfortable for continuous all-day or repetitive use and keeping employees attentive and productive. The light-weight scanner weighs just 3.5 ounces (less than an average-sized bagel) yet is sturdy and strong. It withstands repetitive 5 feet drops onto the floor and even concrete.

The OPL 7836 is plug and play with your POS system. It's compatible with all industry standard PC keyboard emulation and available with USB, keyboard wedge and RS232 interfaces. It comes in "retail" black and for high-volume quantities it is also available in white.
