KP3700 Programmable Keyboard

The KP3700 is part of Unitech’s line of multifunctionality keyboards. It comes equipped with 104 keys as well as relegendable keys, a built in port for connecting barcode scanners, and an built in Magnetic Stripe Card Reader. It is designed to be space efficient and spill resistant in order to optimize efficiency and product life.

92 of the 104 keys featured on the KP3700 are programmable and 88 of them are relegendable. Keys can be easily programmed using Unitech Keyboard Configuration Management software. Keys can be modified by all other keys so that each may represent up to 101 unique inputs. The keyboard can be relegended by removing the clear key cap and installing a new key label.

Output from the magnetic stripe slot reader or an attached scanner can be easily defined in the format you need using Unitech’s Keyboard Configuration Manager.

Input Modes

The KP3700 keyboard has two different modes of operation for accepting various input from devices.

It features a DB-9 port which supports the ability to attain input from undecoded barcode scanners as well as from RS232. The keyboard is compatible with decoded scanners that are capable of Wand Emulation output. It supports CCD, wand, as well as laser scanners.

A built-in card-reader slot allows the keyboard to accept input from a dual-track magnetic card reader (included with the keyboard). The card-reader slot can be modified to incorporate a single or triple track magnetic card reader or even a barcode slot reader.
