It utilizes the Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system and is powered Intel’s ultra-low voltage mobile Pentium III processor, which enables mobile workers to maximize battery life while experiencing 933MHz of power and speed. It comes with a 40GB hard disk drive and 256MB of RAM (with optional expandability available up to 640MB). The mid-sized GoBook Tablet weighs only 3.7 pounds, making it the smallest and lightest Tablet PC in the rugged category. Sized with field workers in mind, the rugged GoBook Tablet PC’s has an ergonomic design which optimizes it for the truly mobile user. It can withstand any situation a mobile workforce may encounter, including rain, snow, wind, dust, shock, vibration, and chemical exposure. Designed to exceed Mil Spec 810F test standards, the GoBook Tablet has a die-cast magnesium casing and sealed I/O ports, and can operate in temperatures ranging from -4 to 140 F (-20 to 60 C).
The GoBook Tablet is designed with integrated wireless communications that can concurrently support up to three different wireless networks, including 802.11b (wireless LAN), Bluetooth, and wireless WAN technologies such as CDMA and GPRS. This integrated support allows the user to maintain seamless, wireless connectivity and communication while roaming from any location and under any circumstance.
