Patented 2.4GHz frequency-hopping
spread-spectrum technology boosts the radio output to 500mW delivering the
widest possible coverage area - up to 30 percent more than access points with
100mW radios. Mobile workers using Dolphin RF handhelds in warehouse,
manufacturing and distribution applications can seamlessly roam, or move about
freely in work environments without losing contact with the wireless network.
These products deliver a 1.6 Mbps wireless data transfer rate.
Access Point Filtering maximizes network
performance, allowing RF handhelds to process data faster and extend battery
life. They operate in a wide temperature range and are small, lightweight and
rugged enough to withstand the harshest of industrial environments.
Optional NEMA 4 enclosures provide the ultimate
weatherproofing protection enabling Access and Extension Points to operate down
to -58% (-50oC) while protecting against windblown dust, rain and splashing or
hose-directed water. There are a wide range of mounting brackets and antenna
cabling options available to provide wireless coverage for a customer’s entire
Access and Extension Points can be easily
configured and managed from a server or using a web browser or telnet session.
Comprehensive management features could make installation the first and last
physical visit to the unit. Access and Extension Points are compatible with
Wireless LAN Interoperability Forum (WLIF) standards.
